Your Privacy and Custom Computer Software

Custom Computer Software is committed to upholding the confidentiality and security of your personal information.  We respect your right to privacy and have instituted practices that will help ensure that your personal information is handled responsibly. In this privacy statement, we describe how we protect the personal information of our clients.

Personal Information

We use the term “personal information” to describe most types of information that can be linked to an identifiable individual. Examples include your name, home address and telephone number. Information on your business card (such as your job title, business address, business telephone and fax numbers, and email address) is not typically considered personal information.  However, in cases where our records include both personal and business contacts and we are unable to separate them, we will handle such records as personal information.

The Ten Privacy Principles

Custom Computer Software needs to collect, use, retain and disclose personal information to provide services to our customers.   We will request from you only the personal information necessary to provide our services and will tell you how we intend to use this information.   To ensure that your privacy is protected, Custom Computer Software is committed to honoring the following ten principles:

1. Accountability

Custom Computer Software has given its President the responsibility as Chief Privacy Officer for addressing your privacy concerns and ensuring Custom Computer Software's compliance with ten privacy principles.   Should you have concerns about how your information is handled, or any questions about our privacy policy, feel free to Contact us by using the Contact page.

2. Identifying Purposes

To enable you to make an informed decision about the information you provide, Culture-Strategy Fit. Inc. will clearly explain to you, at or before you provide the information, the reasons for collecting your personal information.  If we intend to use or disclose your information in ways other than those described to you at the time of collection, we will ensure that you are informed and your consent obtained for the new use prior to using the information for a new purpose.

3. Consent

Custom Computer Software understands that your consent is required for collecting, using, or disclosing your personal information (unless the law provides otherwise).  We will obtain your consent when personal information is collected, used or disclosed and will attempt to communicate in a manner that can be reasonably understood.

4. Limiting Collection

To protect your privacy, Custom Computer Software will only collect personal information about you that is relevant to the purposes you are informed of at the time of collection.   By collecting information limited to these purposes, Custom Computer Software helps protect you from unnecessary or accidental uses of your information.   Visitors to our web-site may have certain technical information logged from your computer's Web browser when you visit us on the internet.   This information includes your internet address, the address of the Web site you are coming from, the amount of time you spend visiting our Web site, the pages visited, the operating system and web browser software you use, and, if you link to us through a search engine, the keywords you use to find our Web site.   The logs do not record personal information, can be accessed only by Custom Computer Software through its secure web hosting service and are used solely to track visits to our site and improve its content and layout.   When you visit our Web site, you are assigned a temporary text file called a cookie through your Web browser.   It is placed on your computer for programming purposes only and enhances your use of the site by providing a unique identifier as you move from page to page.   The cookie is never redirected to servers outside our site.

5. Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention

Just as Custom Computer Software takes steps to limit the types of information we collect from you, we carefully regulate how we handle your personal information.  We do not use your information for purposes other than those to which you have consented, or as required by law. Custom Computer Software offers diagnostic assessments as part of its services to clients.  We respect responder right to anonymity above all else. Our diagnostic assessments may ask responders to disclose their age, gender, years of service with the organization, department, level in the organization and/or location or other information.  We collect and store this information in order to conduct research studies both for the specific client organization and for academic research purposes. This information is kept strictly confidential, is used only in its aggregated form and is not used to identify individuals.  Individual responses will not be revealed to any client organization or group. Organizations will be identified only with their consent. Should Custom Computer Software require the services of third parties to handle your information, we will require them to adhere to privacy procedures that will keep your personal information confidential.   These third parties will be given only the information necessary for performing their information-handling services.  Custom Computer Software does not sell or trade personal information for commercial purposes. Custom Computer Software is committed to retaining your personal information only as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.  Custom Computer Software is also committed to deleting or destroying the records containing that information when they are no longer required; this will be done in ways that will ensure your continued privacy.

6. Accuracy

Our web-site relies exclusively on you for its information about you.  To ensure that you are kept up-to-date on the products and services we offer and that there is no interruption in our communications with you, we have a feature called Contact Us.

7. Safeguards

Custom Computer Software uses appropriate safeguards to protect the privacy of your personal information.  These safeguards are designed to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.  Your records are accessible only to staff who have been given the authority to access them and only as is necessary to provide services to you.

8. Openness

So that you can be confident that Custom Computer Software is handling your personal information appropriately, Custom Computer Software will make information about its policies and practices concerning management of personal information readily available.  These are posted on our Web sites or more details can be secured by contacting us using the Contact page.

9. Individual Access

If at any time you have a question about our records containing your personal information, we will do our best to answer it. You have the right to be told about the kind of personal information Custom Computer Software maintains, how it is used, and with whom it is shared. Incorrect information will be promptly corrected, or, if necessary, deleted. In special circumstances, Custom Computer Software may need to refuse or limit an access request.  For example we will never disclose information that might reveal personal information about another person without permission or will reveal his or her responses to an assessment or interfere with a legal investigation.

10. Addressing Comments and Concerns

An important measure of Custom Computer Software's adherence to these ten privacy principles is your perception of our practices and procedures.  We welcome your comments and suggestions concerning this privacy statement and will respond to any concerns you may have about its application.  Please feel free to contact us by using the contact page.
