The Leadership Value Added (LVA) Diagnostic provides an objective way to determine the match between your personal work preferences and capabilities and the requirements of your present position.  It is also designed to assess where you might best contribute to the organization's effectiveness in 3,5, and even possibly 10 years.

This information is valuable to you for designing appropriate development plans and goals.  It is of value to the organization for developing succession plans and staffing strategies that will help optimize its current and future effectiveness.

The LVA Diagnostic is divided into 3 sections.  Section 1 requires you to provide some demographic information and to establish a "Frame of Reference" that you will use for responding to many of the questions in Sections 2 and 3.

Section 2 asks questions about the kind and nature of the work you perform, as the company defines it, relative to how you would prefer to have it defined.  It assesses the extent to which your position maps onto what you think its requirements should be.  Further, it assesses how your position differs from the person(s') to whom you directly report.

In Section 3, you are asked to identify assignments or projects that you believe to represent "Significant Accomplishments".
